Country: Scotland Suburb/Town: Castlehead City: Paisley State/Province/Region: Renfrewshire Type of home: House Located: close to the city Bedrooms: 4 Bathrooms: 2.5 Sleeps: 8
Our home:

Fully refurbished Victorian Villa with seperate, attached mews (Occupied). Positioned on private road within Castlehead conservation area. National network of off-road cycle paths pass through Castlehead. 10 minutes to Glasgow International Airport with excellent road and rail links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond.

Castlehead is an enclave of period villas along 3 quiet, tree lined, roads. Paisley with its abbey and museum is a 15 minute walk and Glasgow can be reached in 20 minutes by car. As Paisley is so close to Glasgow mosts locals go there to shop and for entertainment, though Braehead & Silverburn shopping Malls are only 15 minutes away.

This is our family home, large by Scottish standards, but the children have now left and we rattle around in it. On the ground floor there is a formal lounge, with feature fireplace, piano and hi-fi, living room with TV DVD hi-fi etc, and dining room that comfortably accommodates 10. There is also a shower room with WC and a modern kitchen with an Aga range cooker and a conventional cooker. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles with kingsize beds and one single with ensuite and a family bathroom. One bedroom has a vanity unit and  an additional bed settee.

The house is south facing and there is a private landscaped patio area to the front. There is also a mature garden to the rear of the property.

Sheila, a recently retired Headteacher and Ronnie, who's semi-retired. We've 2 girls, both of whom have left home. When Sheila isn't reading, she's learning Italian, dancing,or thinking about practicing the piano, while I garden, watch rugby and think about starting to paint again. We enjoy good food & wine, company and travel.
