Our home is a lovely 3 bedroom house built in 1946 and extensively renovated and extended over the last few years.
It has a master bedroom with ensuite, a second large bedroom with two single beds and a third bedroom with a sofa bed and Plasma TV with Nintendo Wii.
The large main bathroom is also in the front half of the house. The rear of the house is a large open plan area with enormous kitchen with island bench and Miele appliances. There is also a large study with computer and wireless internet and a large laundry in adjacent to the rear living area.
A large plasma TV and AV setup is also in this living area.
Through the large cedar french doors is an undercover area with BBQ and outdoor lounge area, as well as a trampoline for children.
The name "Prospect" was chosen soon after 1836 because of the beautiful "prospect" the locality presented. It was described as " ...being well timbered, with waving gum and shady tress..."
Within City of Prospect there are tree-lined residential streets which are bordered and transected by major arterial roads. The predominant housing styles of the area are traditional bungalows and villas; town houses and units. The first Council invested in recreation facilities. This tradition has continued to the benefit of the community, with quality parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities. These include the Prospect and Broadview ovals, St Helens Park, Prospect Estate Park and the recently upgraded Whittle Reserve youth area.
Council provides a wide range of services which enhance the quality of life for residents and builds a strong sense of community. These include significant tree planting and streetscaping, community bus service, aged care service, youth programs, community arts program based at the Prospect Gallery and our innovative library service.
