Our home:

Russell Island has to be one of South East Queensland's best kept secrets and is located only 50 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.

Russell Island Queensland is the largest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands (inc. Macleay Island, Karragarra Island and Lamb Island), measuring 8 kms in length.

The island has most of the essential services and utilities such as electricity, mains water, phone and broadband internet. There are many businesses located on the Island

This is our holiday house. It's nestled on  Russell Island. It's a 20 minute water taxi ride away from the main land which departs from Redland Bay everyday, every half hour or you can also use the convenience of the barge which carries cars and heavy vehicles to the bay Islands which takes 1 hour journey. An Island Paradise so close to the mainland with all the conveniences.

These includes a IGA supermarket, hardware store, cafe, takeaway, video shop, RSL, bowls clubs, taxi service, motel, doctor, post office, library, bottle shop, chemist and many more. Russell Island also has its own primary school, Queensland fire and rescue service and heli pad for emergencies and Ambulance and Police Stations. The weather is generally quite mild with the average temperature being 11-21 degrees in winter and 18-28 degrees in summer.

Our neighborhood:

Our neighbours are mostly retired couples. A very nice street of proud members of the community. Some have been living on the Island for more than 30 years.

The boat ramp is only about 5 minutes away, this is where my husband Jeff launches his boat. He always has a feed of Mud crabs for dinner or fresh fish. 200 metres away down the end of the street is where he can tie up his boat .

Easy & clean living. Get away from the "Rat Race" and park your rear on the recliner easy chair on the front deck overlooking the Canaipa Passage and North Stradbroke Island.

About us:

My Husband Jeff and I are in our 50's and have been married for 30 years. We have 3 adult Children Krystal, Tyler & Miles. We are both small business owners.

Jeff is a accomplished business owner/ operator for 23 + years in a concrete cutting and concrete polishing and grinding company. I'm a fully qualified  Massage Therapist with my own Clinic.

We are happy to share our home with others as it's a beautiful Island and we love it.I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
