Our neighborhood:

Ireland, the home of a rich culture and heritage, is a popular tourist attraction drawing thousands of tourists every year and Dublin is top of the list of places to visit. Being the home of the popular drink Guinness, many groups come to taste the dark brew in the city which is well known for pouring a much better pint of the stuff than you’ll get back home.  Even if drinking isn’t on your agenda taking a tour of the Guinness Storehouse is a vital when staying in the city.  Inside you’ll learn the history and the processes that go in to producing one of the world’s most popular beverages.   Aside from the drinking heritage there are many other aspects of Dublin to explore. The shops and streets retain their traditional appearance whilst modern tram services and taxis can easily transport you around the large city. Trams are cheap enough to use as your primary transportation for a short or long stay. The city is built around the river Liffey with many bridges providing crossing points and depending on the time of year you could spend a nice relaxing afternoon walking along the banks; although winter in December can be bitterly cold. There are many restaurants and bars and the food is always plentiful and delicious. There seemed to be bands and individual musicians in nearly every bar in town, it certainly gives a sense of a different culture where music is key, not surprising when you consider many famous bands are Irish. Overall Dublin is an excellent choice for a city break kind of holiday. You will fall in love with the culture and the atmosphere and want to come back often.
