Country: Australia Suburb/Town: Kirkconnell City: Bathurst State/Province/Region: NSW Type of home: House Located: in the mountains Bedrooms: 2 Bathrooms: 1 Sleeps: 3
Our home:

Our home is an older weatherboard house with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, kitchen, laundry and large backroom. The house is lwell insulated, proving lovely and cool in the heat of summer and we have heaters and 2 fireplaces for winter as we get the occasional snowfall in the cold of winter. We are located approximately 2.5 hours west of Sydney in the Central West of NSW nearby Bathurst, a thriving regional city.

We have a large, well-enclosed yard with plenty of shade. We are more than happy for you to bring your pets along to stay. If you would like to know any more please message or email me.

Our neighborhood:

Our location is less than 1km off the main highway which makes us an easy drive from wherever you're coming from or going to. We are situated in the pine forest, opposite vegetable farmers. The area is exceptionally quiet, besides the odd hum of the highway on a quiet night and the neighbour's are friendly.

We are 20 minutes east of Bathurst, a thriving metropolitan, regional center. The oldest inland settlement in Australia, celebrating its bicentenary only last year. This is where we do the majority of our shopping and business. There are cafe's, parks, shopping centers, the Macquarie river, Art gallery, museums and a cinema to amuse oneself. Bathurst is where the undulating plains of the Central West truly begin. Countrylink services can connect you to other regional centres in NSW as well as Bathurst airport but I recommend buying or hiring a car due to the distances between places in Australia and attractions along the way.

To the east half an hour we have Lithgow, a smaller regional town on the foothills of the Blue Mountains where adjoining metropolitan Sydney train services connect. Here you will find a bourgeoning town, more walks and local knowledge I can provide on arrival. Fishing is a popular past time at Lake Lyell, as is boating and canoeing in the Summer months. The Blue Mountains are an un-missable sight to see and hike through. I can give some expert tips on the best places to see.

To the south about 40 minutes away we have Oberon. Major sights here include Jenolan Caves and mushrooming in Autumn. When it snows, the area from our home to Oberon is the place to be, closest to Sydney with the best sights. If you appreciate landscapes, the land surrounding us is ideal.
