Nestled between the bluffs of the "Coulee Region" and the Mississippi River is my comfortable 2 bedroom home. My "craftsman style" home was built in 1927. A queen bed room (with 40" TV) is on the main level and a full size bed is on the lower level. The shower over tub bathroom is adjacent to the queen bedroom. The living room features a natural fireplace and there is plenty of wood! Dishwasher and microwave are in the kitchen with full size gas stove and large refrigerator with ice maker. Clothes washer and dryer are on the lower level. I have satelite TV (in queen bedroom and den), a blu-ray player, Wi-Fi and a desktop computer available in the den. A city bus stop is within a half block of my home. I have a space in my garage for your car, or we could possibly arrange for you to use mine. Also in the garafe are several different styles of recumbent bicycles that you could use. Biycling and hiking trails are nearby.
My home is located in a city of 50,000 population. I am in a commercial/residential area with easy access to public transportation. The Mississippi River is 2 blocks away. Hiking and biking trails are easily accessible.
There are lots of local music opportunities available ranging from jazz to country to rock. Lots of fun things to do inculding riverboat rides on the MIssissippi and free concerts in the park in the summer. Seeing bald eagles is a regular opportunity. Cross-country and downhill skiing and snowshoeing are possible winter activities. Good restaurants and coffee shops nearby year round. Hopefully you will not need them, but 2 major hospitals are within a mile of my home.
Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota is about 3 hours by car or train. Madison, Wisconsin, is about 2 hours, Milwaukee and Chicago area accessible by train or car.
My home is located near a major intersection. There can be some street noise.
